In June of 2018 I was selected along with six other artist to participate at Litbrá, a mural art event taking place in the southernmost island of the Faroe Islands, Tvøroyri.

We were invited to paint different walls in the public space of the village, with “The View” as the theme in mind. Our stay culminated with the Culture Night, an annual event in Tvøroyri, celebrating all aspects of culture, and a vernissage where the artists presented their work.

My interpretation of “The View” represents an attempt to convey the ethereal energy resulted from immersing oneself in nature, drawing inspiration from it and attempting to encapsulate the feeling. In a remote land with striking views and a population of just a bit over 50.000, building your own universe comes with a bit more ease.
